I haven’t had a lot of time to update my blog lately, so I’ll be doing a lightning round of back dated blog publishing. In the lead up to Platform Expo we decided to rent out an Advan from a company called Forward and Thinking. The van was parked up in front of City Hall showcasing the Platform 2013 show reel and a playable demo of our game Comet Chaos. We managed to draw quite a big crowd and to begin with we were a little nervous about the game’s reception. We had a few crashes and found some bugs we would have not found otherwise, but in the end it seemed like the crowd really enjoyed the game. From a development point of view it’s really helpful to test a game in this manner, as players will all play in a slightly different way which can highlight a variety of issues.
We had a lot of people ask when we would be releasing the game and what platforms it would be available on. There were a lot of people wanting a version for Android and iOS which is understandable but it was nice to hear from a lot of people who already own Windows 8. We even managed to convince Mr Vader to have a play!
Everyone seemed to be really excited about the Platform 2013 event and it was interesting to hear about what they were excited to see.
